Kingdom Hearts

So, we're thinking that Star could probably play KH:358/2 for the DS (since, as far as I know, there isn't a KH for 3DS, since Square usually only releases KH games to Sony, like with FF), but she really needs to know what's going on, because she can't play the other games and all that business. (: So, I'm explaining up to 358/2, which is... like, the entire series, minus Birth by Sleep. *shot*

Maybe later on, I'll go into in-depth things, like explaining Pure Blood Heartless and all that junk. Just because I've spent all this time playing the games and figuring out crap that nobody knows (unless they've read the wikipedia page! *stab*) and why would I waste all this useless knowledge? 8D

So, from the beginning...

The game centers around this boy, Sora , who lives on Destiny Islands with his two best friends, Kairi and Riku (jeez, that's a bad picture). (Along with their buddies, Wakka, Tidus and Selphie, Wakka and Tidus from FFX, and Selphie from FFVIII). The three main characters are trying to build a raft to find other worlds, other than their little island, because Kairi wasn't born on Destiny Islands (though she has no memory of how she got there). One night, a door is opened and a mysterious figure visits Sora. Kairi disappears and Riku is swallowed by darkness.

Sora then discoves a mysterious new weapon that he can wield, called the Keyblade . He is then swept off to a new world, called Traverse Town. There, he finds Leon (known as Squall in FFVIII) and Yuffie (FFVII), and they tell him that he is the Keyblade Master. The dark monsters without hearts, Heartless , attack Sora because he holds the Keyblade. Sora then meets Donald and Goofy (fairly obvious who they are). Donald and Goofy are on a quest to find the Keyblade Master so they can rescue their king, Mickey. Sora wants to find Riku and Kairi, because Destiny Islands was destroyed by the Heartless.

On their journey, they visit a lot of Disney worlds and help various Disney characters out. In KH1, the trio visits Wonderland (Alice in...), Olympus Coliseum (Hercules), Deep Jungle (Tarzan), Agrabah (Aladdin), Monstro (Pinocchio), Atlantica (The Little Mermaid), Halloween Town (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Neverland (Peter Pan), Hundred Acre Wood (Winnie the Pooh), and a world select to KH, Hollow Bastion.

Sora finds Riku, but Riku is working with Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) to try and find Kairi. Kairi is a Princess of Heart, and it one of seven who are needed to unlock the Keyhold in Hollow Bastion, to eternal darkness. Basically, Riku is pissed that he wasn't chosen to be the Keyblade Master, so Maleficent gave him all sorts of dark powers. Sora then searches for Kairi, but is held back by Riku throwing him off. Riku has already found Kairi, but she doesn't have a heart anymore, and she is a lifeless shell. They need Kairi's heart for the plan to work. Sora follows them to Hollow Bastion, where he fights Riku and discovers that Kairi's heart is actually inside of Sora. After defeating Riku (who had actually been taken over by Ansem, the big bad guy), Sora takes Riku's dark Keyblade and unlocks his own heart. Sora turns into a Heartless temporarily, but Kairi saves him and he goes back to normal.

Sora then goes with Donal and Goofy and defeats Ansem. Riku and King Mickey however, are sealed into the Realm of Darkness. Sora sends Kairi home to Destiny Islands (which has been recreated, along with other worlds destroyed by darkness), and he, Donald, and Goofy continue their search for Riku and the King.

THAR'S KINGDOM HEARTS 1 FOR YOU.

Okay, so in KH2 *tries to have a better summary*, you start off as Roxas , a teen who lives in Twilight Town (Twilight Town replaces Traverse Town in KH2), with his friends Hayner, Pence and Olette. Weird things start happening to Roxas, and a man in a black cloak named Axel , who claims to have been Roxas' best friend. Beings called Nobodies start to attack Roxas. Roxas discovers from a man named DiZ , and also a girl named Namine' that Roxas wasn't supposed to exist. He too, along with Axel and Namine, are Nobodies - beings without hearts. Roxas is Sora's Nobody, and he must go back into Sora, who is currently sleeping in a pod in Twilight Town. The Twilight Town that Roxas lives in is a projection of the real Twilight Town, and his friends have been altered for them to think that he has always been there, though he's only technically existed for a year.

(A Nobody is created when someone who has a strong heart looses their heart. The empty shell of their body begins to act on its own, thus creating a Nobody. Nobodies like Namine, Axel, and Roxas are created by especially strong-hearted people and are able to think for themselves)

Roxas returns to Sora, and Sora wakes up, not knowing where he is. He finds Donald and Goofy, and the only thing left in their journal (kept by Jiminy Cricket (: ) is one line: Thank Namine. Sora doesn't understand, and the trio sets off to find out what's happening.

They meet Hayner, Pence, and Olette, but they do not know Roxas because they are the REAL versions. They strangely feel like they know Sora (Sora too, doesn't know about Roxas) and Sora vice versa. But the three set off to continue their search for Riku and the King.

MEANWHILE.
While Roxas was still in Twilight Town, he was able to talk to Kairi. Nobody on Destiny Islands remembers Sora (will be explained later). Kairi continues trying to remember Sora, though she can't place his name or face. When Sora wakes up, she suddenly remembers him, and everybody else who'd forgotten remembered, too.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy visit tons more Disney worlds, and Hollow Bastion, which has been converted from a desolate wasteland to a thriving town, and all their FF friends live there - Cid, Cloud, Aerith, Yuffie (FFVII) and Squall/Leon (FFVIII) (also, Tifa shows up - she's looking for Cloud) (another random tidbit, in KH1, Cloud had been helping Hades try to destroy Sora - somehow, he thought it'd get rid of the darkness in his heart, but of course, Sora's cool and kicked Cloud's trash, hahah - but Cloud is a good guy now). Cloud is currently fearing that Sephiroth will try and come destroy him and all he cares about (cue Aerith, cough cough, who'd been killed by Sephy in FFVII).

After saving various Disney worlds, Sora discovers Organization XIII , but he doesn't understand why the members keep calling him "Roxas". Eventually, the stumble across King Mickey, who points out Xemnas , Ansem's Nobody. He is the leader of Organization XIII.

QUICK SUMMARY OF PARTS THAT IMPORTANT, BUT DON'T DESERVE DETAIL.
Axel kidnaps Kairi, saying that he can take her to Sora.
Saix then takes Kairi and locks her up in a cell.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy keep getting randomly visited by a man in an Organization XIII cloak, but he's helping them, although they don't know who it is.
Sora realizes that Roxas was the number XIII of the Organization.
Several Organization members are dead, so ther's not currently XIII members.
The trio is englightened by Mickey that the man they fought wasn't Ansem, but one of his apprentices, Xehanort's Heartless.
Xemnas is Xehanort's Nobody.
Have you noticed the names of the Nobodies compared to their Other? Roxas = Sora with an 'x'. Xemnas = Ansem with an 'x'. It's this way with all Nobodies, except for Namine.
The trio gets to Castle Oblivion (Oragnization headquarters) and try to find Kairi.
Kairi was discovered the cloaked man helping everybody is Riku (who currently looks like Xehanort in an Organization cloak, thus earning the nickname "Rikunort" from the fanbase).
Sora finds Kairi, but he is unaware to the man who LOOKS like Ansem's true identity.
Kairi enlightens Sora. XD
They find DiZ again, who is with Mickey, and DIZ IS THE REAL ANSEM. YAAAY.
DiZ blows up and Riku is returned to normal, though he is wearing a blindfold and Organization cloak. (not specifying on the explosion unless you ask).
Riku was wearing the blindfold so he wouldn't see what his dark powers and made him to be. He takes it and the cloak off and SEXY RIKY, BAM..

They go, and fight Xemnas (by this point, you've killed all the Organization members XD). Sora and Kairi get to meet their Nobodies, who are Roxas and Namine (Kairi was a Princess of Heart, without darkness in her heart, therefore Namine was a special Nobody). They go back into each other and all is well.

Riku and Sora accidentally get left behind and have to fight Xemnas AGAIN, because he's a turd and won't die.
Sora and Riku win, get transported to the Realm of Darkness.
THEY ARE SAVED ACCIDENTALLY BY KAIRI.
YAYZ.

Yeah, that's it in a nutshell.
The one for the DS is about Roxas' time in Organization XIII.

I am NOT going into Chain of Memories right now. That will have to wait for another time. XD
CoM in a nutshell...
SORA GOES INTO A CASTLE. HE CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING.
AXEL TAUNTS THEM. HE DOES THAT ON A REGULAR BASIS.
SORA HAS TO KILL A LOT OF ORGANIZATION MEMBERS.
MEANWHILE, RIKU IS IN THE BASEMENT AND HE'S ALSO KILLING VARIOUS ORGANIZATION MEMBERS.
NAMINE REPLACED SORA'S MEMORIES OF KAIRI WITH HESELF AND IT HELPING THE ORGANIZATION.
EVERYTHING TURNS OUT ALRIGHT.
NAMINE HAS TO PUT SORA IN A POD TO REFORM HIS MEMORIES, THUS THE POD IN KH2 AND HIS LACK OF MEMORY OF THE ORGANIZATION AND NAMINE.
